A road has been closed while firefighters respond to a house fire in Leicester, with multiple engines at the scene.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said it was alerted to the blaze in Checketts Close, Belgrave, at 10:15 BST on Wednesday.

The service added colleagues from Leicestershire Police and East Midlands Ambulance Service were also at the "ongoing incident", with residents nearby warned to close their windows and doors due to the smoke.
