A pedestrian in his 70s is in hospital with potentially life-changing leg injuries after being struck by a car.

Wiltshire Police were called to the collision at the Swindon Household Waste Recycling Centre on the Cheney Manor Industrial Estate at 12:50 GMT on Tuesday.

No arrests were made in connection with the incident, police said and Swindon Borough Council, which owns the site, declined to comment.

The Health and Safety Executive has been approached for comment.
