A boy in his late teens was taken to hospital after a collision between a motorbike and a car shut a key route in Reading.

Kings Road was closed earlier following the crash and reopened at about 16:30 GMT.

The incident appears to have taken place outside Reading College's entrance, which said it did not have access to its car park for a time.

The college and its university centre's group director Michelle Parks said the incident did not involve anyone who attends them.

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson asked anyone who saw the incident to call 101 or report what they saw on their website, using reference 1098 and 12 February.
