Brookside cast and crew celebrate reunion on ferry
Ray QuinnThe cast and crew of Brookside got together for a special reunion party onboard a refurbished ferry boat - and paid tribute to fellow stars who have been lost.
The Liverpool-based soap, conceived by Sir Phil Redmond, ran from 1982 to 2003 and focused on the lives of the residents of Brookside Close.
In October last year, some of the stars stepped back in front of the camera for a special crossover episode with Hollyoaks - also created by Redmond - as part of the latter's 30th anniversary.
On Saturday former Brookside star Ray Quinn, who played Anthony Murray between 2000 and 2003, shared snaps from onboard the Daffodil - a ferry boat repurposed as a bar and restaurant and owned by fellow Brookie alumni Philip Olivier.
Quinn, who later forged a successful career as a singer after finishing second in the third series of X Factor, also posted a tribute to the late Bernie Nolan - who appeared in the soap between 2000 and 2002.
He wrote: "What a great evening catching up with the cast and crew from Brookside last night. I felt like I stepped back in time..
"Bernie, one of the faces I wish I could have had a catch up with. You're always missed."
