A man has been charged with the murder of a 64-year-old woman.

Thames Valley Police said officers were called to The Park, in Harwell, at 21:37 GMT on Tuesday evening, where the woman died despite efforts to save her life.

The force has now named her as Helen Rundle, and said a Home Office post-mortem examination found her cause of death to be multiple injuries.

Carl Rundle, 41, of The Park, in Harwell, has been charged with one count of murder and remains in custody.

He is due to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court on Friday.

Police said they were not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.

A scene watch is expected to remain at the address until 2 February.
