Moment fire breaks out as neighbours rush to help
New footage shows huge flames ripping through a home as neighbours rushed to help those inside.
The fire happened at 06:00 GMT on Thursday morning in Leigh, Wigan, when police and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) arrived at a property on Laxey Crescent.
GMFRS have praised the actions of neighbours who "who bravely helped rescue a family-of-three".
An investigation into the cause of the fire is still being investigated.
Chris Evans, station manager for Wigan and Hindley fire stations, said: "We would like to thank these neighbours who bravely sprung into action to rescue this family from their home as firefighters arrived to tackle the fire."
"What the neighbours did here in helping to rescue this family was incredibly brave and we commend them for this," he added.
