Attempted murder arrests over Leeds shooting
Ian Kershaw/BBCTwo men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was hurt in a shooting, police have said.
The 29-year-old victim was treated at Leeds General Infirmary last Tuesday after presenting with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
West Yorkshire Police said two men, aged 24 and 47 and from Leeds, were arrested in a pre-planned operation in Leigh, Greater Manchester, on Monday.
Two men who were arrested last week on suspicion of wounding with intent have been released and face no further action, the force said.
The latest arrests were made in a joint operation between West Yorkshire Police and Greater Manchester Police.
Det Ch Insp Daniel Bates, of the homicide and major enquiry team in West Yorkshire, said: "The incident did not occur at the hospital or on its grounds and an investigation is underway to establish where this firearms discharge has taken place."
