Five arrested outside pub over disorder after Welsh Cup semi-final
GoogleFive people have been arrested after an incident outside a pub following a Welsh Cup match semi-final.
North Wales Police said arrests were made on suspicion of public order offences, actual bodily harm (ABH) and assaulting an emergency worker.
It happened outside the Nevill public house, Llandudno, Conwy county, on Saturday after Flint Town United beat fellow north Wales team Bangor 5-1 at Go Goodwins Stadium in the resort, with video footage shared on social media.
In a statement, CPD Bangor City 1876 said it was "aware of an incident shared on social media involving the club chairman, following yesterday's Welsh Cup semi-final in Llandudno".
The statement continued: "We understand the matter is currently subject to ongoing action by North Wales Police, therefore, at this time, the club is unable to comment further.
"CPD Bangor City 1876 has established policies and procedures to address any issued raised and will follow those processes should they be required."
The force said officers were called to an incident of "serious disorder involving a large number of people" just before 16:00 GMT on Saturday.
"This remains a live investigation including the reviewing of video footage and CCTV.
"We are aware of considerable interest on social media, including widespread sharing of recorded footage by people present and we would ask anyone who recorded the disorder to send the video to us to assist in our ongoing investigations."
The Football Association of Wales (FAW) said it was "aware of reports of alleged disorder in Llandudno town centre following the conclusion of the match".
"Whilst this falls outside of the FAW's jurisdiction, the association will support the North Wales Police investigation if required."
It also said the JD Welsh Cup semi-final between Flint Town United and Bangor City 1876 was "played without incident".
Flint will play the winner of Sunday's semi-final in which Rhyl 1879 take on Caernarfon Town at Colwyn Bay, with the final at Rodney Parade, Newport, in April.
