Motorbike rider seriously hurt in crash

Police say a motorbike rider suffered serious injuries in a crash at Marsh Mills, Plymouth

A man has been seriously hurt in a motorbike crash, police have said.

The single-vehicle crash happened on Tuesday at about 19:10 GMT near Marsh Mills roundabout in Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

It said the motorbike rider, a man in his 50s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

The road was shut for several hours but reopened shortly after 22:35, police said.
