Bulldog's owner thanks firefighters for pet rescue
Jersey Fire ServiceThe owner of an English Bulldog and her pet have thanked firefighters who rescued him following a cliff path fall.
Jersey Fire and Rescue were called out after the dog named George Bullfrog fell 15m (49ft) below the path along Bouley Bay.
After rescuing him, George Bullfrog and his owner Sandra went to the fire service's headquarters in St Helier to personally thank the crew and give them chocolates.
Firefighters Thomas O'Donoghue said the crew appreciated the visit as they do not always get to meet the people or animals they have helped after an incident.
"It's a welcome reminder of why we do the job we do," he added.
