'We heard a whine – and saw her on a cliff ledge'
Beer Coastguard Rescue TeamA dog who had been missing for three days was rescued from a cliff ledge after a "monumental" search effort.
Red labrador Narla, six, was found on Saturday after the search party heard a whine coming from cliffs at Ladram Bay Beach in Devon.
She was lifted from the tricky-to-reach spot by an abseiler from Beer Coastguard Rescue Team, with support from Exmouth Coastguard and Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
Narla was "a little tired, a little thinner but safe and reunited", said owner Greg Vooght on Facebook.
Beer Coastguard Rescue TeamMr Vooght added that it was a "huge relief for us all".
He said: "We have found Narla after a monumental effort from all my family and the Facebook community.
"After three days of non-stop searching we finally caught a low enough tide to get round the headland at Ladram Bay Beach.
"[Co-owner] Fay heard a whine and there she was sat on a ledge."
She was found sitting on a ledge just a few feet wide, he said.
Beer Coastguard Rescue Team said it was "good teamwork all round".
