The government is seeking tenders for the design and build of the earthworks planned for the new Overdale Acute Hospital

The government is looking for a company to carry out part of the initial construction works for a new hospital in St Helier.

Tenders have been invited for the design and build of the earthworks needed for the £710m Overdale Acute Hospital.

The government said the works would start early in 2026 and would include excavation and fill so a "safe, clean, stable" site could be handed to the main works contractor.

The new hospital is set to have an emergency department as well as radiology and maternity services and is scheduled to be delivered by 2028.
