The M11 has fully reopened after a vehicle fire, National Highways said.

The incident happened on the northbound carriageway between junction 7a and junction eight, near Stansted Airport and close to the Hertfordshire-Essex border, at about 18:20 GMT.

Traffic was held while Essex Fire Service worked to extinguish the blaze, before lanes were gradually reopened.

The fire was put out at about 18:30 before the road fully reopened at about 19:35.
