Pensioner dies after being hit by bus

A man who was knocked down by a bus in County Wicklow has died.

It happened on Station Road, Bray, on Thursday at around 18:00 local time.

After the collision, the man was taken to St Vincent's University Hospital in Dublin with serious injuries.

Gardaí (Irish police) said he died in hospital on Friday evening. A statement added that a technical examination of the scene was carried out and a post-mortem examination will take place.
