Attempted murder charge after woman found injured
BBCA man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was found injured at a property in Nottingham.
Officers were called to Lichfield Road in Sneinton at about 06:20 BST on Saturday after receiving reports a woman in her 50s had been assaulted.
Nottinghamshire Police said Simon Moon, 63, of Lichfield Road, was remanded into custody after appearing before magistrates on Monday and is due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 1 June.
The force added a 35-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and causing grievous bodily harm with intent, and has been released on conditional bail.
The woman's injuries "are not currently believed to be life-threatening", officers have said.
