Five sought over London Underground knife attack
British Transport PoliceA man was slashed in the face with a knife after he intervened with a gang who were threatening an elderly passenger on a Tube train in north-west London, according to the police.
British Transport Police (BTP) have released images of five men they want to question about the incident.
A group of people threatened the elderly man on a Metropolitan Line train to Northwick Park at about 23:00 GMT on 29 December.
The passenger who intervened was "slashed with a knife that left a cut above his eyebrow", BTP said. The group then fled Northwick Park Underground station in Kenton having stolen his bag.
BTP detectives urged anyone who recognised the men pictured, or who may have witnessed the incident, to contact them.
