There have been two new outbreaks of bird flu in Devon, the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra) has confirmed.

The highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 was confirmed in commercial poultry near Seaton in east Devon and near Lifton in west Devon.

A 1.8 mile (3km) protection zone and 6.2 (10km) surveillance zone has been declared around each of the premises.

All poultry will be humanely culled, said Defra and the Animal and Plant Health agency.
