A burst water main has flooded part of Swindon town centre.

The section of the future Bus Boulevard development and Fleming Way, in Swindon, is underwater.

The incident was caused by a failed connection between a new water main and existing infrastructure, Swindon Borough Council said.

Thames Water engineers are currently in the town centre pumping the water away.

The council said the flooding is "contained" within the construction site on Fleming Way and is not impacting Zurich, Tri-Centre, the Parade or any of the neighbouring buildings.

It added some premises are without water but all town centre roads are unaffected.
