Brian Cameron, 39, attacked James Harvey at the city's OVO Hydro arena on 5 December 2023, during a show by the former N.W.A member.
The victim's earlobe was left hanging off as a result, and had to be sewn back on by medics at the venue.
Harvey was unable to identify his attacker in court but Cameron, of Elgin, Moray in was found guilty under provocation of assaulting him to his severe injury and permanent disfigurement.
In law, provocation is a form of mitigation, suggesting the accused acted in the heat of the moment and had lost self-control.
Cameron was granted an absolute discharge by Sheriff Allan Mckay at Glasgow Sheriff Court, meaning he was released without punishment or a criminal record.
Harvey told the court he attended the gig with friends and family but was seated away from them. He claimed he later found a spare seat behind his sister, which was beside a man.
Harvey stated that he felt a "vibe" from the man and moved away from him.
However the witness went on to say he lit a cigarette, which the other man put out using his hand.
The two men then argued, before Harvey was struck on the head about 20 minutes later.
Prosecutor Craig Morrison asked what happened after the punch and Harvey said both men had struggled together before falling to the floor, and that his arm popped out its socket.
Harvey claimed the other man got on top of him and punched him, which lasted for around three songs.
When another man tried to intervene and help Harvey up, he felt the attacker then bite his ear.
Harvey did not attend hospital but was treated by medics at the Hydro.
He said he also suffered cuts and bruises and that it took a year to mentally recover from the incident.
