Woman, 65, dies after car crashes into tree

A woman has died and three other people have been seriously injured after the car they were travelling in crashed into a tree in the south of Manchester.

The Kia Ceed vehicle went off Wilmslow Road in East Didsbury and hit the tree at about 17:28 GMT on Monday.

Greater Manchester Police said the woman, 65, died from her injuries.

The force has appealed for anyone who saw the incident or may have footage from CCTV dashcams or mobile phones to get in touch.
