A teenage boy and two adults have been charged with murder after a man in his 40s died in a house in Warwickshire.

The 16-year-old, who is from Kenilworth and cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged on Tuesday alongside Patricia Dowling, 49, of Chestnut Avenue in the town, and Lewis Dowling, 24, of Yarnfield Road, Birmingham.

The man was confirmed dead on the evening of 20 March after emergency services were called to a property on Chestnut Avenue, Warwickshire Police said.

The three defendants have been remanded in custody to appear at Coventry Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

A 72-year-old woman was arrested on Monday in connection with the man's death and questioned on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Police have reassured the community they believe there to be no risk to the wider public and that the incident was contained to the house.
