Police are investigating after an 11-month-old baby boy died.

Durham Police and ambulance crews were called to an address in the Deneside area of Seaham, County Durham, at about 08:45 BST on Thursday.

A force spokesperson said officers were "investigating the circumstances of the incident".

The North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) said it dispatched two ambulance crews, a specialist paramedic and a duty officer to the scene.

A NEAS spokesperson said it also requested support from the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS).
