Change of venue for Hereford FC home game
Hereford FCHereford FC has confirmed that its upcoming home game against Darlington FC will be played at another venue, due to ongoing issues with the ground's playing surface.
The team's match on 17 February has been relocated to the Sixways Stadium, the home of Worcester Warriors and Worcester City FC.
The club said due to extensive work at its stadium in recent weeks, the pitch was not currently in a condition that allowed it to stage the match "safely and to the required standard".
"We understand this will come as disappointing news to supporters, particularly as the MandM Edgar Street Stadium is where we all want to be playing," a spokesperson added.
"However, this move is necessary while efforts continue to address the problems with the pitch and ensure a long-term solution."
A spokesperson for Darlington FC said the game had been moved, as the pitch was currently being repaired after waterlogging issues, and would not be ready in time for the fixture.
