Suffolk Police raided a cannabis factory in Bury St Edmunds on Sunday

More than 1,000 cannabis plants and tens of thousands of pounds in cash were seized following a drugs bust in a town.

Officers from Suffolk Police's specialist Kestrel team raided a property on Ridley Road, in Bury St Edmunds, on Sunday.

During a search of the factory the force found 1,072 plants, a large quantity of cannabis that had been packaged ready for sale, and an estimated £16,000 in cash.

Other high value items, including a motorbike, were also seized as part of the investigation. So far, no arrests have been made.
