Man held after motorcyclist seriously hurt in crash

A motorcyclist has been injured in a serious crash with a car in Surrey, police have said.

Officers were called to the A331 at 08:00 GMT on Tuesday after reports of a collision at the junction with The Meadows in Camberley.

Surrey Police said a man in his early 20s was taken to hospital and a 29-year-old man from Camberley was arrested for causing serious injury by dangerous driving and on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs.

He has since been released under investigation, police added.

Authorities are appealing for witnesses to the incident, and anyone with CCTV, dashcam, or helmet cam footage.
