A motorcyclist has been injured in a serious crash with a car in West Sussex, police said.

Officers were called to the collision involving a black Yamaha motorbike and a white Ford Focus in North Street, Midhurst, at about 11:25 GMT on Wednesday, said Sussex Police.

The rider, a 61-year-old man from Surrey, was injured in the incident. The car driver, a 34-year-old woman also from Surrey, was unharmed.

Police have appealed for anyone who saw the crash to get in touch, particularly the driver of a black Rolls-Royce travelling behind the vehicles "who may be a key witness".
