E-scooter rider seriously injured in crash

An e-scooter rider has been left with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car, police said.

The incident happened on White Rose Way in Doncaster at 16:00 GMT on 26 January.

The collision involved a red Ford Focus and a black scooter, South Yorkshire Police confirmed.

The driver of the car remained at the scene.

Police are appealing for witnesses, or those with dashcam footage, to contact them.
