Motorcyclist dies after striking lamp-post

A motorcyclist has died after they reportedly crashed into a lamp-post, police said.

It happened on Wharf Road in Wormley, near Broxbourne, just after 17:45 BST on Sunday, said Hertfordshire Police.

A 50-year-old-man was taken to hospital, where he later died that evening.

His next-of-kin have been informed and were being supported by officers, police added.
