Man denies murder of 25-year-old Robert Else
Joanna MorganA man has denied murdering 25‑year‑old Robert Else near Dover.
Police were called to reports of an assault at a property in Rose Gardens, in Eythorne, just after 09:00 GMT on 29 January where Else was declared dead at the scene, a Kent Police spokesperson said.
Stephen Rooke, 68, of Rose Gardens, Eythorne, pleaded not guilty to the charge during a hearing at Canterbury Crown Court on Tuesday.
He is due to stand trial on 27 July. The trial is expected to last between two and three weeks.
Else's family said he had "the biggest heart and the brightest smile".
His mother Joanna Morgan said: "He was always smiling, always helping others, and had a true heart of gold.
"Robert touched so many lives with his kindness and generosity."
