A man in his 60s has been arrested as part of a murder investigation into the death of a 25-year-old man in Dover.

Officers were called just after 09:00 GMT on Thursday following reports of an assault at an address in Rose Gardens, Eythorne.

The victim, who is believed to have been stabbed, was treated by paramedics but later confirmed dead.

The man in his 60s, who was known to the victim, was arrested at the scene in connection with the attack and remains in custody.

Detectives from Kent Police will remain in Eythorne while inquiries are being conducted.

A cordon set up at Rose Gardens earlier will stay in place overnight.

The force is appealing for witnesses and those who may have CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.
