Treatment for minor ailments will be reinstated at the Isle of Man's second hospital from Monday.

Manx Care has confirmed the Minor Injury Unit will return to Ramsey Cottage Hospital alongside X-ray services after being moved to the island's main hospital while the northern centre undergoes continued improvement works.

Health Minister Claire Christian previously confirmed the services would return to the site in a temporary building on the site ahead of the 2026 TT races.

The healthcare provider said it would be open from 08:00 BST to 20:00 – with the last admission at 19:30 – and will be open seven days a week during TT and other racing periods.

The unit was among several services relocated to Noble's Hospital in December to allow for extensive refurbishment works across the site at the northern site.

That followed the initial closure of the Martin Ward Ramsey Cottage Hospital after the discovery of pest control issue in a section of the building's roof.

Manx Care said the return of the services marked "an important step in restoring services to the north of the Island, enabling patients to access urgent care and diagnostic support closer to home".
