Police patrols in Evesham have increased following a pair of break-ins.

Burglaries were reported at two homes in Evesham on Tuesday night between 18:00 and 20:00 GMT, with a haul of jewellery, bags and cash being stolen from one of the properties, while the offenders were disturbed and fled the second house empty handed.

A third home in Wickhamford was also targeted recently and power tools stolen while the rear door was smashed.

West Mercia Police said it was "keeping an open mind" on whether the crimes were linked to previous burglaries that occurred across the county recently.
