Man charged after hit-and-run attempted murder

A man has been charged in connection with an attempted murder following a hit-and-run in Edinburgh.

A 36-year-old man was taken to hospital after being struck by a vehicle which failed to stop on Lochend Drive at about 21:50 on 3 February.

Police Scotland said a 31-year-old man is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court later.

A 35-year-old man was also arrested in connection with attempting to pervert the course of justice and released pending further inquiries.
