Two parked cars were damaged when a wall collapsed in Bideford

A wall collapse has forced a road to be closed in Devon.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers received reports a "large wall" had collapsed on two parked cars in Northdown Road in Bideford at 10:55 GMT. It added both the vehicles were unoccupied and no injuries were reported.

Wales & West Utilities said it was called to the scene as a gas pipe had been damaged. A spokesperson added no leak had been detected and engineers made the pipe safe.
