Two more arrests made after stabbings at station
GoogleTwo more people have been arrested after two men were stabbed and one was slashed in the face with a knife at a railway station.
A man was arrested after three men were found with knife wounds, and another man was assaulted, in a fight at Egham Railway Station in Surrey on Friday night, British Transport Police (BTP) said.
On Sunday, police said a 21-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) and a 23-year-old woman had also been arrested. The force wait on further information on the nature of her arrest.
Both remain in police custody.
Royal Holloway University confirmed that three of its students were injured in the incident, adding that its wellbeing teams were available to support any students should they have concerns.
All four people, who were aged between 18 and 22, were taken to hospital and none were in a life-threatening or life-changing condition, police added.
'No ongoing threat'
A Royal Holloway University spokesperson urged people to follow the police's channels for updates, "as opposed to relying on unverified sources".
"Police have arrested a suspect and have confirmed there is no ongoing threat. Our teams supported the students involved last night and will continue to offer help," they said.
"Out of respect for those involved and the ongoing investigation, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this time."
A 33-year-old man was previously arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm but had been released on bail.
Anyone with relevant information is urged to contact police.
