Woman, 87, dies after mobility scooter crash
BBCAn 87-year-old woman has died after a crash involving her mobility scooter and a car.
The incident happened on Manchester Road West in Little Hulton, Salford, at around 11:14 GMT on Thursday, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.
A GMP spokesperson said the woman was taken to hospital where she died.
Police are appealing for anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact them.
A force spokesperson said the Volvo driver was travelling westbound on Manchester Road West when a woman on a mobility scooter travelling eastbound on the pavement suddenly began to cross the road.
