Vikki Irwin/BBCPlans have been submitted to transform an out-of-use bus station.
West Suffolk Council said it wants to "visually improve" the site in King Street, Mildenhall, and it said the change of use would help the local economy.
The bus station, which was built in 2005, is no longer in use but its public lavatories remain accessible.
Diane Hind, the council's Labour portfolio holder for resources, said the aim was to "support job creation and improve the attractiveness of the area".
Vikki Irwin/BBCThe council's planning application proposes transforming the building into a mixed-use unit, including for commercial and business use, and modernising the toilets.
