Motorcyclist suffers 'life-altering' injuries

A motorcyclist has suffered "life-altering" injuries in a collision with a van.

South Yorkshire Police said the 20-year-old man was injured when his red Yamaha motorbike and a grey Renault Trafic van crashed in the Edenthorpe area of Doncaster at about 13:20 GMT on Wednesday.

Emergency services attended the scene at Doncaster Road before the motorcyclist, was taken to hospital with "injuries that are believed to be life altering", according to South Yorkshire Police.

The force has asked anyone who witnessed the collision or who has relevant information or footage to get in touch.
