Jersey Electricity said clean-up work would continue following Storm Goretti

Power has been restored to all customers in Jersey following Storm Goretti but repairs to the network will take months, an electricity company has said.

Jersey's government declared a major incident on Thursday as the storm battered the island, causing roads to be blocked as 86 trees were felled.

Jersey Electricity said supplies to about 400 customers affected by power cuts had been restored and all power lines made safe, but permanent repairs were continuing.

It said: "Work will continue over the next couple of months to visit and carry out permanent repairs, line patrols, and clean-up work."
