Irish star CMAT will close the 2026 Eden Sessions on 15 July, the Eden Project has announced.

Fresh from another Brit Awards nomination for best international artist, she was an "extraordinary songwriter and a captivating live performer", said Eden Sessions director Simon Townsend.

CMAT will headline the final night of the Eden Sessions in the project's 25th anniversary year.

The announcement comes after Canadian‑American singer‑songwriter Neil Young pulled out of his entire 2026 European tour, including his planned appearance in Cornwall.

CMAT'S debut album, If My Wife New I'd Be Dead, won the Choice Music Prize, while its follow‑up, Crazymad, For Me, earned a Mercury Prize nomination and pushed her even further into the spotlight.

Her rise has come with Brit and Ivor Novello nods and a spot on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, while her viral singles Take a Sexy Picture of Me and I Wanna Be a Cowboy, Baby! have turned her shows into high‑energy singalongs, said organisers.

Townsend said: "Her honesty, humour and originality resonate deeply with audiences, and we're delighted to welcome her to the Eden Sessions this summer."

Other headline acts on various dates this summer include Snow Patrol, Wolf Alice, Mika, and Pixies.

Singer-songwriter Neil Young was due at Eden on 17 June, but has now cancelled his European tour.

Eden Sessions said ticket-holders would be contacted directly for full refunds to the card used for the original purchase.
