London's creatures great and small have been captured on camera by the capital's residents.

The photographs have been sent to BBC London following the new BBC documentary Wild London, in which Sir David Attenborough explores the wildlife of the capital.

From pigeons hopping on to the Tube to a snake colony by a canal, from fox cubs learning how to become streetwise to a hedgehog crossing gardens in search of a mate, the one-off documentary nudges viewers to marvel at the nature on our doorsteps.

For many, a glimpse out of the window is enough to showcase London's natural world, as shown in some of these images.
