A pistol, ammunition and drugs have been found on a converted bus parked in part of a city.

The vehicle in Wolverhampton was previously converted into somewhere for people to sleep but became a hotspot for anti-social behaviour (ASB) and prostitution, and did not have insurance, a West Midlands Police spokesperson said.

Officers removed the so-called "bed bus" from Kipling Road, Low Hill, on Friday and found a self-loading pistol and four shotgun cartridges.

Suspected class A drugs were also seized and were being analysed, the spokesperson said.

The issues around the bus were reported over several months, they added.

The pistol was thought to only be able to fire blanks but could be converted to fire bullets or used to imitate a working gun.
