A 61-year-old man has died in hospital after being involved in a crash with a lorry.

Wiltshire Police responded to a collision between a Toyota Yaris and an HGV on the B4040 Malmesbury Road, near Cricklade in Wiltshire, at 16:20 GMT on Monday.

The passenger in the Yaris was taken to hospital with serious injuries but later died. The driver, a 60-year-old woman, also sustained injuries which are not thought to be serious, police said.

The driver of the lorry remained on scene at a junction on the B4040 near Chelworth, and no arrests were made.

Police are continuing to investigate the collision and have appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch.

The man's next of kin have been informed, the force added.
