Girl, 2, allegedly hurt in Romford park dog attack

A two-year-old girl was taken to hospital after she was allegedly attacked by two dogs in a park in east London, the Metropolitan Police said.

Officers were called to Raphael Park in Romford at about 12:25 GMT on Monday following reports that the child had been injured.

Police said the girl required hospital treatment. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Two "rottweiler-type dogs" were seized from an address in Romford earlier on Thursday as part of the investigation.

Officers have been in contact with the girl's family to update them on progress, the Met said.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are continuing.
