Recycling plant fire now 'under control'
BBCA "large" fire that broke out on Saturday at a recycling plant has been brought under control overnight, Lincolnshire Police said.
The blaze at Mid UK Recycling in Barkston Heath, near Grantham, was reported at about 17:20 BST.
The force had warned people in the villages nearby to keep their doors and windows closed because of drifting smoke.
Officers said that while smoke remained in the air, it was not thought to pose any risk to the public.
Police said they were no longer at the scene, but that High Dyke road remained closed.
