Almost £300,000 is to be spent on repairing a multi-story car park.

The Wharf Road site in Grantham town centre is to get further resurfacing work as part of an ongoing maintenance programme.

It is leased and maintained by South Kesteven District Council, which completed resurfacing of the third floor in November.

A contract has been awarded to carry out work on the fourth level, which is expected to begin in June and will take up to six weeks.

According to the Local Democracy Reporting Service, a council meeting heard the car park surface and underlying concrete framed structure was deteriorating and needed to be repaired.

The council said it was making "every effort" to minimise the disruption but warned there may be some occasions when the car park had to be fully closed.
