Police are hunting a "dangerous" man last spotted at the scene of a woman's suspicious death.

Grant McKinnon, 30, was last seen in the Cardowan Road area of Carntyne, Glasgow, at about 04:00 on Saturday.

Around the same time officers were called to the street following reports of an injured woman. She was pronounced dead at the scene and her death is being treated as suspicious.

McKinnon is described as white, 6ft, of slim build, with a shaved head. When last seen, he was wearing a black jacket with a red hood, or red hood lining, and blue jeans.

Det Supt Gary Ferguson said: "Grant is considered to be dangerous and I'm appealing for information from the public to help us trace him as soon as possible.

"If anyone sees Grant, they should not approach him but contact police immediately."

He urged anyone with information on where McKinnon may be, or anyone who thinks they have seen him since the early hours of Saturday, to contact officers.
