Firefighters are calling for witnesses to come forward after a suspected arson at a children's play area in Peterborough.

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said they were called shortly before 17:30 GMT on Tuesday to a fire in the open on Winyates in the city.

A crew arrived to find a fire involving a play area, and they used a hose reel to extinguish the blaze.

The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate, investigators say. Police say an investigation is ongoing, but that no arrests have been made.
