Two in hospital after three pedestrians hit by car
BBCTwo people remain in hospital with serious injuries after three pedestrians were hit by a car in Nottingham.
Emergency services were called to Main Street in Bulwell at 11:24 GMT on Wednesday after a vehicle mounted the pavement.
Nottinghamshire Police said officers believed the driver, a 70-year-old man, had suffered a medical emergency at the wheel.
The force said on Friday that a woman, 78, suffered multiple serious injuries and a man, 34, was also being treated for a serious leg injury, while the third pedestrian was injured but did not require hospital treatment.
The driver was also treated in hospital and had now been released, police said.
The force added no arrests had been made, but an investigation into what happened was continuing and asked for anyone with information to come forward.
Sgt Craig Luckett said: "This was a distressing incident that was witnessed by many members of the public.
"As our investigation into what happened continues, our thoughts are with everyone affected by this incident."
