Engineers are working to get the tram back on the tracks

A tram has derailed in Wolverhampton after being involved in a collision with a car.

Recovery trucks are currently working to get the tram back on the tracks at Bilston Street Island on the Wolverhampton Inner Ring Road.

The A41 junction to West Bromwich has been shut with diversions in place.

City of Wolverhampton Council has warned drivers to avoid the area.
